This Ruffled Crochet Pet Collar is made in only two rows! It is so quick and easy, you may end up making them for the entire neighborhood. After all, you wouldn’t want the other pets getting jealous…
Ruffled Crochet Pet Collar Pattern
- Ch – Chain
- Sl – Slip Stitch
- Sk – Skip a stitch
- St – Stitch
- Sc – Single Crochet
- Dc – Double Crochet
- G Hook
- Worsted Weight Yarn in two complimentary colors
- Paracord buckle, belt buckle, clasp, or button
- Sewing Needle
With the color you would like at the top of the collar, make a foundation Ch row in a multiple of 6, +2. Make sure to loop it around your pet’s neck to check the size before proceeding. Eyeballing it is asking for trouble! Don’t forget to give your pet room to breath. This is a decorative collar, just a piece of doggie or kittie jewelry, so remember – looser is better!
Row 1 – Sc in 2nd Ch from hook and in every Ch across. Fasten off and work in ends.
Row 2 – With the right side of the piece facing you, join 2nd color with Sl in 1st Sc, taking care to leave a long end for sewing on the buckle. Ch 1, Sc in same St (Sk 2, Dc 5 times in one St, Sk 2, Sc) Repeat from ( to ) across. Fasten off and leave a long end for sewing.
The only thing you have left to do is attack a buckle or clasp. I used a paracord buckle and the yarn ends from Row 2. It couldn’t have been easier!
You just made a Ruffled Crochet Pet Collar!
